God Has No Needs

God Has No Needs
God has no need from you or me
His desire is to worship Him, and be set free
Nowhere in the Word does it say God needs you
There's absolutely nothing you can say or do
All things to be "according to His will"
With or without you His plan still fulfilled
There is none mighty or perfectly wise
Unless taking up your cross to see through His eyes
You died on that day and received the pure Light
Through baptism you died and His Spirit arose
The Truth in you now, if Him you chose
What can a man give to the Creator of all things
But to give back your life and see what death brings
There will be those who said we did wonders and signs
He'll say He doesn't know you, with eternal declines
His Word says all power has been given to Him
False prophets proclaim they are gods, the power in them
God didn't create gods but mere mortal men
To think power is in you, is to Him a great sin
We are to seek and pray "His will be done"
Just as Jesus did, the only begotten Son
Before the foundation of the world His plans for you
If willing to die to self, becoming the chosen few
What can any man say to make God move
When all power is His, must be preordained to approve
His Word doesn't say "according to us"
We must seek "His will" and totally trust
You see God has no need, He's perfect and complete
Bow before Him, down at His feet
Unless fleshly desires are dead we can not hear
It's a spiritual thing and a Godly fear
God has no needs just a loving desire
To put His Spirit in you and His Word inspire
He can not live in you when you're in the way
So humble yourself with fear, and pray
My desire is that He keeps me down
So He can be raised up, to receive the crown
Where is the man that knows God's mind
The mighty, rich, and proud will never find
To know God's will you must become a fool now
In all things to trust Him and to humbly bow
You see God doesn't need you and He doesn't need me
He can make rocks cry out, we need Him, you see

Luk 19:40 And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out.
