TRUTH AND HOPE

God nailed to a tree, crucified for me at Golgotha
Now this lukewarm world I see, I cry out maranatha

The only begotten of God, the Word made flesh to speak
Speaking only what the Father said, the bread of life to seek

It's the poor, those who mourn, the weak, that shall be filled
Hungry and thirsty for righteousness to be instilled

The merciful, pure in heart, and peacemakers, children of the Most High
The salt of the earth persecuted, trodden under the foot of men to die

Jesus the light that burns bright in the house of my soul
Not doing away with the law, with my death His Spirit to control

The strength to pluck out my eye, so I may see
By His Spirit and His Word to be forever set free

Stand in the armor of His truth, righteousness across your chest
The most important thing, being in faith that we invest

Cap this with salvation, and the sword of His might in our hand
With all prayer and supplication, wherein the just shall stand

May our mouth boldly speak, the mystery of the world make known
Baptizing in the death, burial, and resurrection to them be shown

Not the spirit bound to sin, but cry Abba, Spirit of adoption begins
Now joint-heirs with Jesus, if we too suffer with Him, and stay within

Saved by a hope that these eyes can not see
Patiently we wait for that hope, and from evil we flee

All things, good or bad, work together for our good
Only if you love God, and all according to His purpose, is understood

If you want to follow Him, take up your cross every day
This is the baptism we show, and in Him we must stay
